Safety Protocols

Safety Protocols 2020-2021

  • If a student feels unwell or has been in contact with a person who has a confirmed case of Covid-19, they should not attend their lesson. To cancel a lesson, please notify the Lesson Coordinator at Piano Mill: (781) 982-8880. There will be no charge for any missed lessons this year.

  • If a student or anyone in their household is at increased risk for severe illness from Covid-19, they are advised to postpone taking in-person lessons.

  • Due to the current government mandate for the store to be at only 40% capacity, parents/guardians will not be permitted to wait inside the store during their child’s lesson. Upon arrival for a lesson, please wait outside the store (outside the entrance door or inside the car) until either Christine or another Piano Mill staff member signals that it is okay for the student to enter the building. If a family member needs to make a payment for the next block of lessons or needs to use the restroom, please let Christine know when she comes to pick up the student or, if the lesson is already in progress, please call the store to get permission to come inside.

  • Christine’s students must use the entrance door facing the parking lot (the door that most students would normally use). In accordance with current MA regulations, anyone entering the store must wear a face covering, covering both their nose and mouth, at all times.

  • Students should avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands during their lesson. Following their lesson, they should wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol to disinfect their hands.

  • Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
